On Sunday, JB and I headed over to Gallmeyer Farms to do some strawberry picking! The farm is super close to our house, and we go every fall to snag awesome pumpkins and gourds!
I have only been berry picking once in my adult life before Sunday, and was really excited! I make jam fairly frequently when summer produce is at it's peak, so helloooo strawberry jam? Duh.
I also have strawberry ice cream, strawberry salads, some sort of strawberry beverage (okay, COCKTAIL,) and a baked good or two on my list. Hope you guys are ready ;) I'm kind of a freak about produce this time of year.
Do you see the strawberry octopus there? I laughed forever.
JB and I ended up picking 19 pounds of strawberries. NINETEEN. That's a lot. But don't fret, I'm ready to take 'em on!
I would love to know your favorite strawberry recipes! We had such a ball picking that I think we will try and go again soon. (You know, once I do something with the 19 lbs. we have currently sitting on the counter.)
Hope you all are having a very happy Memorial Day weekend! I can't wait to dig into all of these gorgeous berries.
sup, strawberry selfie? We both needed the sunshine.
