I have had a really, really delightful weekend. So delightful, in fact, I had to tell you about it.
My weekends take place on Sundays and Mondays. After work on Saturday evening (my Friday!) I drank a fair amount of red wine (you're welcome for the awkward selfie,) painted my toe nails, and hung out with my dudes. Relaxin' to the max was the best feeling ever.
On Sunday, I got to brunch with my friend Kim. Shit was awesome. We ate waffles and strawberries, hung out on her roof, and I bought a new pillow! Yeah!
I also got to drive around with sunglasses on and windows down. Thanks, Sunday. You were alright.
we JB did yard work. I had a lot of inside work to catch up on, but I'm feeling pretty good about life.
I also went to the florist and bought a whole bunch (read: $40 worth) of pretty, summery flowers. I arranged them into a billion small vases and placed them all over the house. Flowers always, ALWAYS bring happiness.
I was browsing Pinterest a bit last night, and found this little gem of a tote bag. I'm going to order one. And I'm going to fill it with vegetables. And library books. And letters to friends.
Know what else brings happiness? ICE CREAM. JB bought me the Ice Cream attachment and I've not used it yet (shame on me!)
I am going to make this ice cream my friend Courtney posted. Warm weather (and the pursuit of happiness) REQUIRE ice cream. COCONUT ICE CREAM, y'all. My dear, sweet husband has requested it be turned into Pina Colada ice cream- so I've decided some sort of warm brown sugar pineapple sauce is necessary. Right? Totally.
Last night, I really got excited for summer. We turned the AC off, opened all of the windows, and had the most divine breeze floating through the house. I normally am not super pumped about Spring/Summer (I super hate being hot,) however, I'm kind of glad it's coming. Mainly because of the veggies I'm going to grow. Summer produce and grilling and porch beers are a few of my favorite things. These burgers are on this week's menu because I cannot contain my grilling excitement any longer.
Ollie is a fan of warmer weather. JB and Ollie sometimes wait on the porch swing for me to come home.
Happiness! Eff yes!
