It's not too late to whip up something cute to mail to your sweethearts! I love to celebrate, and few things scream "celebration" to me like confetti!
I was inspired by this Martha craft punch to make this fun card to send to all of my Valentines!
I purchased a handful of cute pink, red, and metallic papers last week to use on my heart garland, but was able to used the scraps to punch out my confetti!
You will need:
- Scrapbook or construction paper in various colors
- Martha Stewart "Heart Confetti" heart punch (or any other craft punch that makes small pieces. Even a regular hole punch would work!)
- A scissor
- Glassine bags
- Blank kraft paper card and envelopes
- Red and pink stamp pads
- Small alphabet stamp set
- Washi tape to seal glassine bags
- Glue Dots
I love the classic look of glassine bags, so I ordered a stash off of Amazon. The glassine bags were a little tall for my kraft paper cards, so I trimmed a little less than an inch off of the top.
Once the bags were trimmed, I filled them with a small handful of the confetti and sealed them with the cutest washi tape EVER.
Using pink and red stamp pads, I stamped "LETS CELEBRATE LOVE!" onto each kraft paper card. I love the way the word "LOVE" pops using the red ink!
The final step is attaching your glassine bags of confetti to the kraft paper cards. I wrote love notes on the inside of my cards using a bright red pen (of course!)
I hope everyone that receives this card from me (or you!) has an instantly sweeter day. Happy Valentine's week, y'all!
